Crochet hooks and yarn in a forest of purple vines

My first flash fiction for Havok drops today! “The Halloween Blizzard Invasion” pits giant purple alien vines against a wily grandma armed only with crochet hooks and determination.

I wrote it in memory of the Halloween Blizzard of 1991, when I was in junior high and over 24″ fell. Only, what if the blizzard had dropped more than just snow?

It’s FREE today (10/30/24) on Havok. After today, it’s members only, so go read it now! Or become a member for a frugal $4.99/year. Not bad if you like a daily dose of short genre fiction.
