Alicia Peterson

After fifteen years as a teen librarian, Alicia is writing her own books now. Her current works-in-progress are FLUX, a space western adventure for middle grade (editing); and ICEBOUND, a YA Little Mermaid retelling set in 1920’s Duluth (drafting).

She also writes flash fiction and has won the Lake Superior Writers contest three times in the “Short Short Fiction” category (500 words). She currently publishes flash fiction with Havok.

A nerd through and through, her hobbies include crocheting Doctor Who ponies, reading ALL the informational signs while hiking, and playing the oboe. She lives in Northern Minnesota with her husband, two young sons, one handsome but neurotic dog, and 28 accidental chickens.
